Where we work in Hobart

What changes by area

Greater Hobart is not uniform, and the era a suburb was built in tells us more about your job than the postcode does.

• Inner Hobart - Battery Point, West Hobart, North Hobart, New Town, South Hobart, Sandy Bay. Predominantly pre-1940: weatherboard exteriors, lath and plaster inside, irregular hardwood framing, and sandstone in the oldest pockets. These take longer and we price for it up front.
• Glenorchy and Moonah - interwar and postwar. Double brick and brick veneer, generally straightforward.
• Eastern Shore - Bellerive, Howrah, Lindisfarne, Rosny. Mostly postwar brick veneer, with larger family homes and bigger screens.
• Kingborough - Kingston, Blackmans Bay, Taroona. Newer stock, plasterboard on timber or steel frame. The fastest installs we do.
• Brighton and Sorell - growth corridors. New builds, modern plasterboard, occasionally steel framing which needs different fixings.

Outside the boundary

We do travel beyond Greater Hobart, including out toward Richmond, the Coal River valley and the Channel. Those jobs are quoted with the travel shown as a separate line so nothing is buried. Longer trips are easier to justify if you can be flexible on the day.

What we will not do is claim to service the entire south of the state and then decline the job. If we are not coming, we will say so when you ask rather than after you have waited.
